Planning with Paper, Pencil & Erasure is a good idea. But it's a different story all together when it's practical time.
It is the first post and like the first activity when we start a new project. It was all papers, computer designs, you tubes, pencil designs, deletion, erasure and even colouring. It was really fun to start with.
Paper & Pencil planning is fun but it''s different story altogether when it's put to practicals. Nevertheless, the importance of planning remains.
We put on several sleepless nights over our planning and model. We went several days through online contents, discussions with experts and applied our mind to derive a workable plan. We went over the plan again and again, modifying is infinite times. We came up with a practical solution or so we thought.
When we went on ground, the feets and metres appeared different. The surrounding areas had different feeling. Not to mention the challenges we faced from the neighbours and locals, who tried to resist "new entry". As we went on ground, we modified and modified to get things working. What is coming up at farm is pretty far from what we initially thought. But it did emerge from our plans. Importance of on ground work can never be overstated.
One thing we always agreed was that we will plan our farm on our own. We did nt get into the hassle of hiring and spending money on a planner. Explaining our concept and dreams to someone was overwhelming. Such passions are 100% DIY stuff. The process is a part of learning and fun.
