Dream of a Couple
Nature is close to the heart of the young heartthrobs Aparna and Sarjeet.
We had been travelling to a lot of places due to work related postings. We would practice terrace or kitchen gardening in our accommodation. The dream to own a farm and practice natural farming always remained close to our heart. We got an opportunity when Sarjeet got his share of small ancestral agricultural land near Pataudi. Sometime towards end of 2019, we decided to call it quits and follow our dream.
Proximity of the farm from Delhi made management easier for us. We started working at two centres-one in Delhi primarily for education of children and second at our farm. We evolved the idea of ॥ ढ़ाणी ॥ which in Haryanavi means a hamlet. The word is coherent with our idea of integrated farming.
The journey so far has been a hard learning but definitely it has been satisfying. The obstacles enroute have reaffirmed our resolve and passion.
Loaded with assistance from locals and our self-learning, we are out there to rough it out and produce food as nature intends to offer it to us.
Aparna
Aparna is a teacher turned entrepreneur. She is working on dual-front as a Home Maker and Agriculture Entrepreneur. It is her love and passion for plants, flowers and animals which has been the core strength of ॥ ढ़ाणी ॥
Sarjeet
Sarjeet is an Indian Army veteran who is presently working as Director of Operations at one of the NGO involved in education of under-privileged children. His passion for agriculture is deep rooted in his ancestry. He is looking forward to contribute towards Rural Empowerment. Sarjeet is also pursuing MBA from Indian School of Business.
